Privacy notice
Last reviewed 1 September 2026
Near Max Ltd is the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 09222812, at Highwoods, Chinnor Hill, Chinnor, Oxfordshire, OX39 4BD, United Kingdom. This notice sets out what the site collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, email info@nearmax.co.uk.
The contact form
The form asks for your first name, surname, email address, location and message, and optionally a phone number. We use them to read your enquiry and answer it, and for nothing else.
Nothing is written to a database. The details are sent as one email to info@nearmax.co.uk and stay in that mailbox for as long as the correspondence is useful — ask us and we will delete it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted us, and replying is the entire purpose of the form.
To stop the form being abused we hash the IP address each submission arrives from and count recent attempts against that hash. The hash is held in memory for a few minutes and never written to disk; the address itself is never stored.
Analytics
No analytics load until you accept them. While the banner is unanswered, and after you decline, no third-party script is fetched and nothing about your visit is measured.
If you accept, we load Google Analytics and PostHog to see which pages people read. PostHog runs on its EU hosting; Google Analytics processes data on Google’s own infrastructure, which includes servers outside the UK, under Google’s terms. You can withdraw consent at any time through Analytics preferences in the footer, which is as easy as giving it.
What is stored in your browser
Your analytics decision and your choice of language are kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie and not on our servers. Clearing your site data removes both. If you accept analytics, Google and PostHog also set storage of their own.
Where the data is held
The site runs on AWS in the London region, eu-west-2, and is served through a content delivery network. Enquiry emails are sent from that same region through Amazon SES. Apart from the Google Analytics processing described above, and only if you have accepted it, personal data does not leave the UK.
Who else sees it
Only the providers that run the site for us: AWS for hosting and email delivery, and — with your consent alone — Google and PostHog for analytics. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for it in a portable form. Email info@nearmax.co.uk and we will answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when what the site does changes. The date at the top is when it was last reviewed.
